Hello! Wow, I haven't blogged for so long I had forgotten how to create a new post.
However, I have been quite active recently on Instagram and started uploading some Unboxings on my YouTube channel
I started my end-of-year leave end of November, so have had a bit of spare time (well, apart from all the end of school year activities for my 2 little boys) so been posting quite a bit of my bullet journaling on Instagram (you can find out what Bullet Journal is all about here, started by Ryder Carroll)
I started my bullet journal (in its true form) in June 2017. I bought a Leuchturm1917 journal (A5 dotted in orange), watched a LOT of YouTube videos on how to set-up one and scoured Pinterest for different ideas, layouts, trackers ...
And now, as we get to the end of the year, I have bought a new Leuchturm1917 (in berry) ready for the New Year 2018.
But before I say goodbye to my 2017 Leuchturm1917 journal ...
I thought I'd do a quick look back and do a review.
I went through each page and noted down what I liked/disliked, what I would do more or less of, what I would keep and not keep. And which new things I would like to try out which I didn't in 2017.
I wrote down a list and came up with the following:
Once I had written my list, like most of the pages you'll see, I added doodles and stickers to give a nice colour to the page and so it doesn't have too many negative space. This style may not be for everyone as it can look messy or over crowded, but I like looking back at how colourful and fun my pages are (stickers from WashiGang)
So let's start from the top: Future Log - I liked the layout, so did the same for 2018
Monthly cover pages - great place to be artistic using watercolour, sketching, drawing ... Watercolour paintings inspired by Jay Lee Watercolor Painting
Lists/Collections - I didn't do too well watching lots of movies or reading a lot of books. Maybe will keep this to a one-pager and add something else maybe, so not to have it so bare.
Monthly Trackers - Might change it up a bit in different months instead of keeping it to a vertical spread. As you can see from July's Monthly Tracker (middle one) I divided it into 2: Personal and Work
Trackers - include daily and not-so-often tasks, create new mood tracker using colour coding; have an income/expense tracker to really see my financial health and try to SAVE! (maybe make a fortnightly one for this to correspond with my pay cycle). PLUS I need to make sure to keep track of it daily, as you can see I missed lots of days there :/
Already made my January 2018 Habit and Mood Trackers
Weekly Spread - I'll make sure to change it up regularly to freshen the look (use both vertical and horizontal layouts)
Miscellaneous - Gratitude, doodles, hand lettering drills, what I've read and other creative/artistic outlets.
So ladies and gentlemen, that's where we are with only 4 more sleeps until Christmas and only 9 days until the New Year!
It was great looking back and cannot wait to see what 2018 holds.
